The question I’ve been asked to engage is to do with how, as Christians and as church, must we be formed if we are to participate in bringing God’s justice – the transformation of unjust structures? How do we become a people who might have something distinctive to offer? And what implications does this have for how we approach ministry in our parishes, colleges, chaplaincies and the wider community?
As I’ve pondered these questions in my own experience, three closely related themes have seemed particularly significant – the necessity for personal transformation, ecclesial kenosis and deep listening. I want to say a little about each of these, as a contribution to our conversation..."
